How to Use a Snackle Box
Plan, fill, clip, carry and clean: everything you need to get the most from your Trust Bliss Snackle Box.
Here is how to use a Snackle Box, step by step: plan what goes in, fill the removable compartments, clip the lid, carry it, serve, and clean it by hand. The guide below is written for the Trust Bliss Snackle Box, which has eight removable compartments, a clear lid with four snap-lock clips, a fold-flat handle and mini forks and spoons stored in the lid.
How to use a Snackle Box in 6 steps
- Plan. Decide what the box is for: a road trip, a work week, a picnic or a party. Pick eight snacks with a mix of crunchy, fresh and sweet.
- Fill. Lift the compartments out and fill them at the counter. Pat washed fruit and vegetables dry first, and keep moist foods away from crackers and chips.
- Add utensils. The mini forks and spoons click into the tray inside the lid, so they travel with the food.
- Clip. Put the compartments back, close the lid and press all four snap-lock clips until they click.
- Carry. Fold up the handle and keep the box level. It slides into a tote, backpack or the back seat, and the boxes stack in the fridge.
- Serve. Unclip the lid and the box becomes a snack board. Lift out single compartments to pass around.
What to pack
Used as a portable charcuterie board with a lid or a divided serving tray, the Snackle Box works best for dry snacks and fresh produce served cold or at room temperature. Good choices include crackers, pretzels, nuts, cheese cubes, grapes, berries, baby carrots, cucumber slices, cured meats, dried fruit and small sweets. For hummus or dips, use a small lidded cup: take two compartments out and the cup fits in the space. A drink can fits the same way.
What not to pack
- Soups, sauces, dressings or other liquids. The lid is not guaranteed to be leakproof or waterproof.
- Hot food. Let cooked food cool completely first. Never microwave the box, lid or compartments.
- Sitting in melted ice water inside a cooler. Place it on top of ice packs instead.
Fridge and freezer prep
The box is fridge and freezer safe down to -4°F (-20°C). Fill it on Sunday, stack it on a fridge shelf and grab it through the week. Freeze grapes or berries in it for a cold snack on warm days.
How to clean and store it
- Lift out all eight compartments and the utensils.
- Wash every part by hand in warm, not hot, water with mild dish soap and a soft sponge.
- Rinse and let everything air-dry completely before you put it back together.
- Store it clean and dry with the lid unclipped, the handle folded flat, and the boxes stacked.
Do not use the dishwasher: heat can warp the clear lid and tray and make the compartments shrink or twist. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, and replace any part that cracks, turns white or loses its shape.
